What we collect
ResumeNorth collects personal information necessary to provide our resume analysis, ATS scoring, and interview preparation services. This includes information you voluntarily provide such as your resume, job descriptions, and account details. Specifically, we collect: your full name, email address, resume content including work history and contact details, job descriptions you paste into the product, payment information processed through Paddle, and general usage data such as pages visited and features used.
Legal basis for processing
We process your personal information based on your consent when you create an account, upload your resume, or subscribe to updates, and based on our legitimate interest in providing and improving our services.
How we use your data
We use your data to authenticate your account, generate ATS scores and keyword analysis, produce tailored interview preparation, process subscription payments, and improve product quality. Resume content and job descriptions are sent to AI models to perform the analysis you request. We do not sell your personal information, and we do not use your resume content to train third-party foundation models.
Security measures
We use industry-standard security measures including encrypted data storage, secure authentication, and restricted access controls to protect your personal information. Resume files and personal data are stored using Lovable Cloud's secure infrastructure with row-level security policies limiting access to your own data only.
How long we keep it
Account information is retained while your account is active. Resumes, job descriptions, and analyses remain available in your account until you delete them or close your account, after which they are removed from our active database within 30 days. Encrypted backups may persist for up to 90 days before being overwritten. Payment records are retained by Paddle according to their own retention policy and applicable financial regulations.
Third parties
ResumeNorth relies on a small number of trusted providers to operate the service: Lovable Cloud for database hosting and authentication, AI model providers for resume analysis and interview question generation, and Paddle as our Merchant of Record for subscription billing and payment processing. These providers process data on our behalf under their respective data processing terms. We do not share your personal information with advertisers or data brokers.
Your rights
Under PIPEDA and applicable Canadian privacy laws, you have the right to access the personal information we hold about you, request corrections to inaccurate information, request deletion of your account and associated data, and withdraw consent for processing at any time. You can delete your resumes and analyses directly from your dashboard, or contact us to action any other request. We will respond to verified requests within 30 days.
